Description: Laurie will be speaking to the honored Junior League of Washington (JLW) about her book for their Annual Sustainer Luncheon. JLW is a network of more than 2,300 highly trained female volunteers dedicated to improving the community through effective action and leadership. The network develops qualified civic leaders who are prepared to address the ever-evolving needs of our Washington, DC, community through volunteer service, meaningful programs and initiatives, and innovative solutions.

JLW invests in adult, child, and cultural literacy initiatives in the greater Washington, DC, area through hands-on volunteering, grant programs, and fundraising efforts that support the important work of our more than 20 community partners.

The Mindful Day is designed for busy professionals looking to integrate mindfulness into their daily lives, this step-by-step guide draws on contemplative practice, modern neuroscience, and leading psychology to bring peace and focus to the home, in the workplace, and beyond.
